Mary Bemis's Bio

Mary Bemis is a leading spa critic and writer who has covered the spa market since writing her first spa feature 17 years ago. She is the Spa Adviser to Shape magazine, the spa editor of New Beauty magazine, and pens a monthly spa treatment and trends column for Skin Inc. magazine. The former editor in chief and a founding editor of American Spa magazine, she is consistently called upon by media outlets such as the New York Times, ABCNews.com, USA Today, the Robb Report, and others for her spa expertise. Bemis has appeared on CBS’s The Early Show, CNN, the Style Network, and the Fox Health Network to discuss spa trends. Her work has appeared in Allure, Allure Korea, Self, Pilates Style, Shape, Luxury SpaFinder, Marie Claire Germany, Glamour South Africa, and Child magazines, among other publications. She is the co-author of the book Nature Through Her Eyes: Art & Literature by Women.
