Whether or not you’re the woo-woo type, you’ll notice that crystals are popping up in all kinds of products. “Recognizing that subtle energies affect our health has come to the forefront of collective consciousness,” says Jenny Pao, formulator and co-founder of Nectar Essences. “The idea that the plant and mineral kingdoms are very much alive is more generally accepted than ever before. When we receive the help and guidance of plants and minerals, we feel more grounded, clear, aware, and connected to creation.”
Here’s what I’ve been playing around within the crystal department.
Crystal-Filled Glass Water Bottles
I keep my VitaJuwel glass water bottle on my nightstand for a few reasons—because it’s pretty and also because it’s kind of heavy to carry around or put in my bag. (If you want to show it off and tote it around, I suggest buying the silicone Loop Cap that easily attaches.) Made in Germany, the bottles have an interior “GemPod” full of semi-precious gemstones. Filling your bottle with water and waiting seven minutes is believed to vitalize the water with the vibrational power of the crystals. All I know is that it makes the water taste better. There are a bunch of different GemPods, each a different assortment of crystals, to suit your mood (Vitality, Balance, and Inspiration, are just three examples). I opted for Happiness. Vitajuwel.us
Vibrational Healing Sprays
Jenny Pao, energy worker and co-founder and formulator of Nectar Essences, recently debuted three new GemFleur sprays. Crafted from gem elixirs, essential oils, and sacred flower essences, they come in the perfect-size bottle to keep with you for that occasional spritz. You never know when you might need a little pick-me-up. I like the Love Rose Quartz Spray that “amplifies unconditional love.”The other two options are Peace Vermarine Spray to “harmonize the mind,” and Bliss Amethyst Spray that’s meant to deepen spiritual connection. Garnet-Infused Body & Massage Oil
This one’s on my list to try. I’ve been a fan of Bunnie Gulick and her gorgeous wildcrafted line Isun for some time. This oil is meant to be grounding, while helping to relax the nervous system. (Who couldn’t use a little of that these days?) “The deep red vibration of garnet relates to the survival systems in the body,” according to product info. Also contains sesame and hemp seed oils, as well as healing turmeric root. Bring it on! Isunskincare.us
Reiki-Charged Rose Quartz Mask
You gotta love a multi-tasking face mask. Specifically, Knesko’s new Rose Quartz Antioxidant mask. Made with proprietary GemClinical Technology, this luxe mask contains a bunch of potent antioxidants that include Vitamin C and licorice root. Not only does it leave your face looking and feeling revived, but it has been charged with Reiki, which along with the rose quartz, is meant to help open your heart chakra for self-love and compassion for others. Lejla Cas, Knesko’s founder and celebrity esthetician, shares, “My intention when I founded Knesko was for women and men to take time for themselves and nurture their souls. The Rose Quartz Collection is all about love and balance, the cornerstones of self-care.” knesko.com
Sapphire-infused Face Scrub
O’o Hawaii is super-hot right now. Founded by Holly Harding, a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and American Association of Drugless Practitioners, this crystal-infused line has a great story, great packaging, and is hitting all the right notes with clean and green beauty aficionados. The Birdseed Detoxifying Face Scrub is a gentle gooey concoction that smells good and contains Hawaiian ingredients like pearl powder, red alaea clay, and sapphire crystals. Nice touch: for every online sale, O’o Hawaii donates $1.00 to the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center Discovery Forest program. Oohawaii.com
Crystal-Infused Essential Oil Roll-Ons
It’s easier than ever to get your crystal aromatherapy hit now, thanks to the recent launch of Body Bliss’s handy roll-ons. Created to “increase energetic vibration and provide balance and clarity,” there are six new roll-ons infused with semi-precious gemstones. I tried the harmony and balance-inducing Mood Melt, an uplifting blend that includes essential organic oils of sweet orange, mandarin, pink grapefruit, cedar, and jasmine. The blend is infused with aventurine, a “heart stone.” For the CBD-obsessed, there’s Focused Relief with Full-Spectrum CBD, infused with the energy of moonstone, meant to calm and balance.
