Dr. Prager’s Illuminator Facial

Shari Mycek

The Treatment:
Dr. Prager’s Illuminator Facial

Time & Cost:
60 minutes, $350

German physician Michael Prager is well known in London, the origin of his solo skin clinic. But a recent partnership with The BodyHoliday in St. Lucia is now drawing attention from the global market. “We wanted to introduce a top skincare line and regimen in our new Skin Care Clinic, and actively scouted the best,” says Andrew Barnard, general manager of BodyHoliday and son of the resort’s founder, Craig Barnard. “It was my stepmother who, during a visit to London, formally ‘discovered’ the man behind the facial everyone was raving about. We are ecstatic to have him onboard.”

While a series of Dr. Prager treatments is slowly being added to The BodyHoliday’s Skin Care Clinic menu, it’s the Illuminator Facial — perfect before a big night out or special event — currently creating the most buzz. Non-invasive, the facial delivers an instant glow (and anti-aging boost) by combining a mild peel (to exfoliate dead skin cells) with needle-free electrical pulses, which infuse the skin with a cocktail of potent vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and minerals. The treatment ends with a protective hydrating mask, gel, and moisturizer. And, most noticeably, an instant glow.

Best For:
Dull skin in need of a boost, and for achieving instant radiance for that special night out.

Drawbacks:
One facial isn’t enough. Spa-goers are likely to want more, and (for now) the treatment is available only in London and St. Lucia.
