Cliff House Maine (Ogunquit, Maine)

The Spa at Cliff House is debuting a Seacoast Rose Menu for the month of May, in honor of Mother’s Day. The seacoast rose treatments are comprised of highly concentrated rose botanicals for radiating and hydrating skin and body – inspired by the wild seacoast roses. The Seacoast Rose Menu features the Seacoast Rose Massage; the Seacoast Rose Facial; and the Seacoast Rose Mani and Pedi.

Mother’s Day Relaxation package (available through May 30) includes: Luxury overnight accommodations; $100 resort credit towards a spa treatment; complimentary glass of pink champagne in The Spa; and a gift from The Spa.

Gaige House + Ryokan (Sonoma Valley, California):

Sonoma Valley’s recently redesigned Gaige House + Ryokan is situated in the heart of California’s wine country and offers moms a serene setting to quietly reflect while also enjoying the uninterrupted views of the surrounding vineyards. Whether it’s relaxing on the Moon Deck while reading a good book and sipping a glass of wine, or just soaking in the beauty of the Zen gardens, there is a variety of relaxing spaces throughout the property. Moms can also enjoy the Zen rock or “dry landscape” garden, known as karesansui in Japan, which is a miniature, stylized landscape created with a carefully composed arrangement of rocks, water features, moss, pruned trees, and bushes. Gaige House’s Ryokan suites also feature a private Zen garden and a pagoda, an excellent focal point during meditation. New to Sonoma, the inn also provides guests with information and prime locals for “forest bathing,” a new trend for mindfulness exploration in nature.

Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun (Mexico) is a quick jaunt from major US cities. The award-winning 40,000-square-foot Gem Spa offers awe-inspiring spa treatments utilizing chakra-balancing gems, a unique ten-step hydrotherapy ritual, and luxurious spa amenities.

The Mother’s Day Head to Toe Pampering Package at Gem Spa will begin with an exclusive 10-step hydrotherapy ritual, which detoxifies skin with contrasting warm and cool temperatures combined with high and low water pressures. Mom will then enjoy a bundle of therapeutic treatments, including: a purifying body massage; a personalized facial treatment by Vagheggi; and a spa manicure and pedicure. The cost for this 230 minutes experience is $209.00 USD.

Another option is a special Mother & Daughter extended two-hour hydrotherapy ritual. The experience is completed in a relaxation lounge area where fresh juices, water and fruits are served on plush spa lounges. This treatment usually lasts about 45 minutes, so guests enjoy bonus time in lavish spa for the normal cost of $53.00 USD.

A layer of moisture should follow the exfoliation to hydrate and nourish the skin on hands, body and face.” Here are three spa services ideal for spring spa-going mothers and daughters:

•ZENTS Ultimate Luxury Wrap begins with a shea-butter exfoliation followed by a rich mineral wrap to replenish skin and a warm oil scalp massage. It ends with a full-body massage using natural jojoba oil mixed with the guest’s scent of choice.  80 minutes; $225.

Adirondack Exfoliation includes a luxuriant exfoliation of salt crystals mixed with essential oils. Rich Shea Butter completes this service, replenishing and hydrating skin.  50 minutes; $155.

Classic Manicure ($40.00) and Pedicure Ritual ($55.00), both include an exfoliation with the option to incorporate a seasonal scent that personalizes the service to your needs.
